Below is a couple of photos that helped me receive awards from the WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association) put a big smile on my face this weekend. Specifically for ‘Signing of the Register’ from Katie and David’s Trinity College wedding in Oxford, and ‘Cake vs Face’ from Rachael and Paul’s wedding at The Great House in Sonning.
If you don’t know what the WPJA is, it’s a contest hosted by professionals who judge wedding photography like the ones below. I’ve currently won 4 awards and counting,
The types of people that can win a WPJA award are staff picture editors, staff photojournalists, newsroom mentors, wedding photographers and more. I even have an entry on their website, so if you can please go over there and show some support!
The WPJA awards photography professionals and the like not just in Britain but in places all over the world. Places like the USA, the Caribbeans, Oceania , the Middle East and Mexico etc.
As you can see this is a very prestigious award and I’m very proud to have won them. I really love doing wedding photography and I’m glad that this has taken off as a profession for over 13 years.
I feel lucky to have won these awards and I hope to win more some day.
Happy Days!
