Apparently it was a wet-ish day on the 20th but everyone had such a good time at Sarah and Dan’s wedding that I doubt that anyone even noticed! Ok, so the omens weren’t looking good at the start of the day considering that the ceremony was due to be held outside, but backup arrangements had been made for the seating to be moved into the marquee just in case the sky opened up. Which it did…in a typically British drizzly way. Did that stop Dan, Sarah, and their friends and family having fun? Not a bit of it! When you’ve got a moving and at times entertaining ceremony followed by tea, cakes, champagne, a second reception at another marquee, canapes, shisa pipes, a middle eastern theme (due to the couple’s Abu Dhabi connections), great food, great wine, and an amazing band…when you have that as a back drop to a party then the weather doesn’t really matter!
