Saturday the 4th was all about the party for Lea & Duncan. London Wedding Photography is always such a pleasure when the couple and the guests are there to kick back, have a great time and celebrate the coming together of a such a lovely bride and groom.

Following the ceremony from the day before at The Foundling Museum, the party itself was to be hosted at the beautiful Museum of Childhood. It’s a unique backdrop for such a special occasion and it was perfectly complimented by the beautiful floral arrangements by Lavender Green and the creative wizardry of Ash Event Productions who were responsible for the atmospheric lighting.

While this was all being set up, the three of us took the opportunity to get some more intimate shots inside and around the Museum. Plenty of interesting props and light traps to work with and it didn’t hurt that the weather held off too!

Guests then started to arrive and were treated to bubbly, nibbles and the freshest of oysters. Lea’s brother then performed a short Jewish blessing for the couple before the wedding party sat down to a wonderful dinner by Picasso Caterers. The speeches were beautifully delivered and heartfelt and that’s one of the traditions of a wedding that I enjoy the most, photographing those sometimes poignant, sometimes hilarious moments!

Now the party…the band are called The Fabulous Hurricanes and there’s a very good reason for that. They were truly fabulous…reading the crowd and always keeping them on the dance floor. They were absolutely pitch perfect, and loving the moment, a joy to watch! The groom of course had to be very careful not to get carried away (pardon the pun) whilst being hoisted up and down upon a chair during the traditional Jewish dancing whilst wearing a kilt…

Congratulations once again to Lea and Duncan on their marriage and a Wonderful Wedding Weekend!!!
