What a day, what a lovely couple, and what a special and unique way to celebrate their marriage along with their closest friends and family!

It all started at Meryl’s sister’s house, just a short-ish drive away from Merton Register Office where the knot was officially tied. Meryl was such a super-relaxed Bride-to-be in the run up as the preparations took place, and it was a real family affair too with her son and nieces waiting and watching as it all happened. Once the curlers were out and the dress was donned, it was time for Meryl and her son (along with yours truly) to jump in a white London taxi with all the wedding trimmings and head for the ceremony.

It was a beautiful ceremony at Merton Register Office and the weather held off just long enough to get some photographs of Meryl and Rich before jumping in the taxi once more. Next stop, Clapham Common…or more specifically an impromptu couple of drinks at The Sun pub which was more than a little unexpected for locals just stopping in for an afternoon pint. The reception itself was held on the top floor of Trinity restaurant just a stone’s throw from the pub; a lovely space, with great food and Bellinis on stand by as guests started to arrive.

Neither Meryl, Rich, or myself could resist the opportunity to get a few more pictures in the evening light before it was time for speeches, which paved the way for the rest of the evening’s entertainment. It was a great day, and one to remember for a long to come.

Congratulations to Meryl and Rich!!!
