Elaine and James got married at the tail end of May and it really felt (for the most part) that Summer was truly on its way. Herons Farm is an ideal location to host such a friendly and intimate wedding which was celebrated the couple’s closest of friends and family. Elaine started getting ready with the girls just a stone’s throw away from where the ceremony was to take place, and it was a really nice part of the day to photograph with a really relaxed Bride, great light, and fantastic backdrops everywhere you looked.
The ceremony itself was held outside and fingers were probably crossed in the week(s) leading up to the big day, in hope that the rain would keep away…and fortunately it did. Once vows were exchanged, it was time to crack open the fizz and a few cold ones on the lawn before dinner was served in the barn. Speeches naturally followed and then it was time to head for a stroll to get a few intimate shots of Elaine and James. We found a gorgeous spot with lots of lush colours for backdrops and some low evening light even if the sun was hidden behind the clouds for most of it. And then it was time for the party which rounded off a great day for Elaine and James.
