Lea and Duncan had the most amazing weekend celebrating their marriage in a couple of London’s most beautiful and unique locations. On the Friday, I met up with Lea at the gorgeous boutique Zetter Townhouse hotel in Clerkenwell where she was preparing for her wedding at The Foundling Museum. A close friend of Lea’s expertly took charge of the hair and makeup responsibility whilst the girls sipped on a glass of champagne and enjoyed a nice and relaxed build up to the big event.

Once the stunning dress by Halfpenny London was on, it was time to jump in a Black London cab (my wife did the same when we got married and it’s the best way to travel to any event!) and set off to the Foundling Museum.

If there was any nervousness on the groom’s part when I arrived just before Lea, it was hardly noticeable. Duncan and his friends were simply looking forward to what would be become a very memorable weekend with their closest friends and family.

The Museum itself was beautifully decorated in stunning floral arrangements by Lavender Green and was an ideal spot for a marriage ceremony for around sixty of the couple’s friends and family.

Dinner was served by Kalm Kitchen after a reception that included a short choral performance by some old university friends. The food itself was cooked to perfection (one would expect nothing less from Kalm Kitchen) and a guest from each table was responsible for arguable the most important task of the evening…the carving! It was such a lovely day and the party had only just begun!

Have a look at my next post to see their fabulous party at The Museum of Childhood from the following evening…
