‘Thank you so much for joining us on our special day and doing such an amazing job. We love the photos! I will definitely recommend you.’
I’d been looking forward to Catherine and Justin’s wedding since they first got in touch with me. A New Year’s Eve wedding in Oxford starting at The Oratory Church of St Aloysius, followed by a few shots around town, and then on to The Folly Restaurant by boat. This was going to be quite a day…
So it all began at The Macdonald Randolph Hotel where the girls got ready for the big day ahead. Meanwhile, David Cliff who was second shooting for the day, joined up with the boys and followed them to the pub lunch before heading off to church. Once the girls were ready, Catherine and her father zoomed off in a gorgeous E Type to church. St Aloysius church was quite the backdrop to such a special occasion and once the ceremony was complete, the couple swapped confetti for sparklers (it was dark by then so that was a great idea!) before Catherine, Justin, David and myself got a few intimate shots in town.
A short stroll, a quick taxi, and a boat ride later, we arrived at The Folly. If you gonna do it, do it in style! Reception drinks/cocktails/vodka luges followed with speeches thrown in for good measure. The band then got the party started and got people properly in the mood as we counted down to midnight. Boom! Happy New Year and congratulations rolled into one. What a day!
