It seems Cain Manor is becoming a bit of a stomping ground for me at the moment and that’s certainly no bad thing at all! Giles and Catherine’s wedding at this beautiful chocolate box of a venue was my third there this Autumn/Winter and long may that continue, it’s always good to be back.
For all the grimness and greyness that the trusty Beeb forecasted (and that turned out to pretty accurate), the silver lining to said clouds was the awesome day of celebration, the friendly crowd to photograph, and the couple themselves of course. Catherine and Giles were a joy to shoot from the off, not least because they were a fun-loving, relaxed and genuinely kind couple.
Whilst Catherine and the girls prepared for the day ahead in the Bridal suite, Giles and Co. arrived via taxis from a hearty breakfast at Bel and the Dragon just a stone’s throw away. Once the guests had arrived, and all were ready for action (including removing any unnecessary Fit Bits), then it was on with the ceremony.
Reception followed and we were lucky enough to have a dry patch half way through, so the three of us nipped outside for a few shots and a chance for Giles and Catherine to have some alone time, albeit with yours truly in tow. Speeches and dinner rounded off the day before the party kicked in with the aid of an awesome band.
It was a very special and heartfelt day and thank you once again for having me there. Congratulations and I hope you enjoy these pictures on your honeymoon!
