It was great to be back at Cain Manor to shoot Caroline and Phil’s wedding, it’s always been a favourite spot of mine and I’m looking forward to capturing more weddings there later this year! Caroline and Phil’s Wednesday Wedding was a day that brought friends and family together from all around the world, with several making the trip from The States and Singapore.
It all kicked off with Caroline getting ready upstairs at Cain Manor, whilst the boys put the finishing touches together before getting suited and booted. Once the guests had arrived (mostly under the cover of umbrellas), it was time for the ceremony which was both funny at times and most definitely poignant at others. Reception followed and we managed to brave the light dusting of rain for a few family shots outside before ducking in to get stuck into dinner. Caroline, Phil and I all headed off a little later to get some shots of just the two of them before settling into the speeches. The First Dance got the night off to a flyer followed by a traditional Horah which is interesting when the Groom’s wearing a kilt…oddly enough it’s not the first time I’ve photographed a wedding with this combination. And you guessed it, it was a Ceilidh that followed the Horah which is always loads of fun to photograph.
What a great day to be a part of! Congratulations once again to Caroline and Phil.
Thanks to David Cliff to shooting alongside me, a great job as ever David!
