Cain Manor
Natalie & Szymon

September 16, 2021

‘Thank you so much – these photos are beautiful. Thanks for capturing the day so brilliantly – it was so nice to look through these and relive the wedding day again! Thank you again for being so great at what you do.’

I met Natalie and Szymon for the first time way back in January 2020, a mere eight months before their planned wedding date at Cain Manor. They’re an absolutely lovely couple so when I received an email the following day saying they wanted me to shoot their wedding, I was over the moon. And then you-know-what happened…so yet another postponement, but by that point I (and every other wedding supplier) had become very much used this, and I was just delighted when I could tell them that I was available for their new date in September 2021.

Fast forward through all the uncertainty, lockdowns and home-schooling (!)and the date seemed to come round as quick as you can say it. And it was a good ‘un too. Great weather, an excellent turnout from Szymon’s friends and family given the trip that had to be made, and a celebratory mood in the air which was tangible.

Natalie prepared for the big day in the Bridal Suite, and it was all super-relaxed. But that, as it seems, is just Natalie being Natalie. I’ve photographed few Brides-to-be who have been quite so calm on the day, and Szymon followed suit when I met up with him a short while later. After a calm start to the day, and once the wedding guests had arrived and taken their seats for the ceremony, Natalie was ready to make her entrance…

The ceremony was a wonderfully intimate series of moments, not least when Szymon and Natalie read out some very personal vows to each other. Both of which sparked as much laughter as they did tears, with Szymon’s deadpan sense of humour absolutely nailing it. From my experience, this sort of outpouring of sentiment at such a climactic part of the day is a rarity. One that is to be enjoyed and admired.

After the ceremony, we all headed outside and S&N were greeted by a Guard Of Honour/Confetti-ish tunnel, and this kicked off the afternoon’s celebrations. A while later, dinner was served and the speeches rounded it off.

As the weather was spot on we headed off shortly after the speeches for a few intimate photos whilst the band set up. The band, as it turned out, was awesome. Some really talented guys who were as good at going off on solos as they were as playing in unison. Absolute quality, and what a way to get the party going.

Congratulations Szymon and Natalie, you guys were awesome as was this very special day!
